New Orleans Public  Belt Private Rail Car

 

Text Box: New Orleans Public Belt has graciously donated a 4 hour ride on the private rail car, “Louisiana,” to be auctioned off live during the Women Of Substance Luncheon. 
This round-trip ride for up to twenty passengers begins at the Public Belt round-house, stops along the Huey P. Long Bridge, and travels to the French Quarter. 
This newly renovated rail car from the 1920’s is lavish, with chairs to seat up to twenty people comfortably, hand-blown light fixtures, and detailed painting by a local artist. Towards the back is a beautiful marble-topped bar and around the side is a bathroom. A viewing platform is in the rear of the car. It has full-service catering capabilities for both food and beverages.
